Speedy Tree Watercolor

Edit: Pulling this out of scraps and putting it with the rest of my "featured" gallery. Not that this is amazing or anything, but it is a fairly complete picture, I suppose, and I'm mostly happy with this return to watercolors--I'm addicted to my pen brush for now, but will hopefully get back to doing more watercolor!

I'm still pretty lame at watercolors, but had some spare moments today, and threw this together in...um, can't remember, but it was under an hour, and over 1/2 an hour. Just had fun experimenting. The brushes are REALLY cheap and left hairs all over the pic. Will have to pick up some nicer brushes if I decide to try to do traditional media a bit more professionally. Don't really know how to photograph my pics either, since I usually paint digitally. My earlier pic of this at my workspace is unmodified, but this one I did some editing with to try to get the colors as bright as the original.
